meaningful numbers
“Meaningful Numbers” is a thought-provoking series of 13 different sized  paintings which invite the viewer to reflect on their own Numbers. Years, dates, events and age, all those create the collective of our memories. Lines divide each individual painting into planes, sometimes clearly defining space while other times ending in a void, allowing areas to intertwine, the same way life unfolds. Colors suggest stimulation to release feelings of warmth vs. cool, hot vs. cold and therefore intensify one’s memories. Numbers, planes and colors are the canvas by which we live. Nothing is as it seems, life is layered and so are my paintings. The obvious becomes mysterious. Sometimes we believe we see and then encounter a sincere or a sad feeling, other times it might be a wonderful smell from our childhood, or laughter and happiness. While reflecting and remembering we create new Numbers keeping the circle flowing.
